Seeing Music Art Show

The pieces featured in this show reflect Tom’s interest in live music, with a focus on the Blues and other forms of roots music. The subjects include North Carolina and New Orleans Blues musicians and scenes of local music venues and festivals like Hopscotch and Wide Open Bluegrass.

Artist Bio

Tom is a Maine native who has called the Triangle home since he was 18. He originally moved to Durham in the ‘80s to play music with Blues and roots musicians like Big Boy Henry and Slewfoot. Using the moniker “Sleepy Tom,” he currently plays solo guitar at various venues in Raleigh.

In addition to being a musician and mixed-media artist, Tom founded a marketing firm (Archetype) in 1998 with his wife, Elizabeth. They celebrated 20 years of working together in the commercial arts in August. Tom is the graphic designer/web developer, and Elizabeth provides writing, marketing consulting, and project management. Their client list include 100+ nonprofits, as well as dozens of businesses in a wide variety of industries.
